JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Company

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

The Opportunity

Experience Edge is an Adobe Experience Platform initiative that provides a single, optimized gateway for requests that want to interact with other Adobe Experience Cloud edge services, such as Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Analytics. As a result, customers will simply need to deploy one SDK on their website to leverage server-side services, greatly improve performance, and streamline their path to value.

We build technology that can withstand 100 billion requests per day across the globe, millions of request per second and answer complex queries in under 500 milliseconds.

For this we need your help. If you already have expertise in developing JVM (Java, Kotlin, Scala) applications and web services and if you are interested in learning technologies specific to the Big Data world, we would be very interested in talking to you to explore a possible collaboration.

What you’ll do:

  • Create the future Adobe products by building and maintaining complex features in a large-scale, multi-cloud microservices SaaS product.

  • Own the outcome by taking the initiative and ownership for the application design efforts while always optimizing for quality, scalability and performance.

  • Raise the bar by focusing on continuously innovating and seeking novel methods for addressing complex technical distributed system challenges.

  • Be genuine, serve as a mentor, cultivate a collaborative environment and encourage and guide team members by being honest and direct.

  • Work with and across teams and domains to collaborate. Act with clarity and precision, ensuring projects are driven with a strong sense of ownership and direction.

What you need to succeed:

  • Computer Science degree and / or 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Strong understanding on developing, architecting and running SaaS type of products

  • Excellent understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, software life-cycle, source control tools

  • Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies

  • Passionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken

  • Experience with cloud services platforms (AWS and/or Azure)

  • Experience with Java Virtual Machine related languages and technologies will be considered a plus

  • Knowledge in both building but also operating a service: CI/CD deployments, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), Kubernetes-based deployments, infrastructure as code and provisioning tools (Terraform, Saltstack)

  • Experience with NoSql technologies (e.g. Cassandra, HBase) will be considered a plus

  • A sharp eye for security related issues and performance bottlenecks

  • Agile / Scrum project management methodologies

At Adobe, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized throughout the world on Best Companies lists. You will also be surrounded by colleagues who are committed to helping each other grow through our unique Check-In approach where ongoing feedback flows freely.
