The Opportunity
Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service is a powerful suite of
cloud-native composable content services that rapidly deliver high
impact, personalized experiences across any channel; unlocking
content from all, for all.

In Adobe Romania, we are engineering and operating foundational
services for our cloud offerings, and we are looking for a Senior
Computer Scientist to accelerate our vision of innovation and
automation at scale with a focus on Elastic Search expertise and
cloud-native solutions. Using GenAI capabilities on top of Elastic
Search we can unlock new ways to deliver innovative, personalized,
and high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with multi-functional roles (Product Management, Architects, etc.) and engage directly with enterprise customers to understand their business needs and custom implementations.

  • Design and implement Elastic Search solutions, focusing on indexing, querying, and optimizing large datasets for performance and scalability.

  • Leverage Elastic Search Query DSL to build advanced search capabilities, including relevance tuning, filtering, and real-time search.

  • Prototype innovative approaches and production solutions on cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

  • Configure Elastic Search clusters for high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability, with a focus on sharding, replication, and performance optimization.

  • Enhance search functionalities using GenAI capabilities for semantic search, recommendations, and content insights.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Validated expertise in Elastic Search, including indexing, querying, optimization, and running large-scale datasets in a cloud environment.

  • Strong understanding of Elastic Search Query DSL and standard processes for designing efficient index mappings and schemas.

  • Experience with cloud-native development, particularly on Azure or AWS, using Kubernetes-based platforms for scalable and resilient architectures.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Experience with monitoring Elastic Search clusters and using tools like Kibana for visualizations and insights.

  • Strong backend development experience with Java

  • Experience with operating in large-scale, cloud-based environments like AWS and Azure

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree.

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing software solutions in enterprise environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with integrating Elastic Search with GenAI models to enhance search capabilities and deliver personalized insights.

  • Knowledge of Elastic Stack tools such as Logstash, Beats, or Elastic Machine Learning features.

  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, or Grafana.

  • Familiarity with data pipelines using technologies like Kafka or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

This role offers a phenomenal opportunity to innovate at the
intersection of search technologies, cloud infrastructure, and AI-
powered solutions!
