The Opportunity

We are looking for a backend engineer who is passionate about designing and building scalable backend systems for the Adobe Administration team. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and optimize backend services using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud), ensuring high performance and scalability.

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services for seamless integration with frontend and third-party applications.

  • Work with microservices architecture and event-driven systems, ensuring modular and maintainable services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices for backend development, performance optimization, and security.

  • Build and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), optimizing queries and schema design.

  • Deploy and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS  and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Splunk, and New Relic.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD automation, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 7-8 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and REST API design.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience in schema design and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Terraform, Git).

  • Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and security best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk).

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and following DevOps methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on ownership and accountability.
