Adobe is looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to join the Adobe Content Legal team. This team provides legal support to Adobe Stock, Behance, the Content Authenticity Initiative and the acquisition of data for AI/ML training.   The position will be based in our San Francisco, San Jose, or New York office.

What you’ll do

  • Support our product and business teams as they develop and bring to market new technologies, business strategies and product offerings, including AI products and features. 
  • Coordinate with legal and BU colleagues to support the multiple sales motions for Adobe Stock and Behance. 
  • Own responding to internal and external questions about the use of Adobe Stock, including developing and maintaining standard responses. 
  • Lead product launch processes, including technology release checklists and, privacy impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts in Adobe's Legal Department, including marketing, litigation, and privacy, to analyze legal risks.
  • Support and build positive relationships with Adobe’s product teams and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues.
  • Develop and maintain procedural handbooks (e.g., sales negotiation handbooks).
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement throughout the entire project/program lifecycle and drive those improvement projects to completion.

What you need to succeed

  • JD Degree
  • License to practice law in job location.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience, specifically in-licensing software, online services, and digital content (digital content a plus). 
  • A commitment to providing clients with high quality and timely legal advice, and flexibility to take on different types of products and services and related work.
  • Ability to exercise common sense to provide both practical and theoretical advice; must be a creative problem solver and have good business instincts.
  • Ability to understand technologies that we license. 
  • History of being a self-starter, resourceful, and able to prioritize in an environment with multiple changing objectives.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

The U.S. pay range for this position is $100,900 -- $196,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
