The Challenge

As ANZ Marketing Director, you will develop, implement and optimize enterprise marketing plans that deliver country-level pipeline results and enrich the Adobe brand across Australia and New Zealand markets. You will partner with sales leaders and your team to assess existing and emerging opportunities in developing your go-to-market plans. You will work with the regional marketing team to create annual and quarterly plans that deliver the required vertical, partner, segment and lifecycle results to achieve targets. You and your team will be accountable for providing all aspects of the marketing plan working in coordination with regional digital and production teams to bring the plan to life. Interpersonal and execution skills, communication and teamwork will be key to success in this role. With limited guidance, you will know what to do, when, and how to get each task done.

What you'll do

Strategy

Establish strategy and multi-year marketing plans that achieve sales pipeline and bookings targets for ANZ based on Adobe's business and worldwide objectives. Provide counsel and insights to the APAC regional marketing team on designing marketing initiatives relevant to the ANZ markets. Developing a deep understanding of your customers, country business environments, and Adobe products/strategies will be key to establishing plans that yield success in each country.

Establish annual plans (and optimize quarterly) that deliver country-level sales pipeline targets for ANZ that achieve the respective countries' vertical, customer segment, lifecycle and solution targets. Plans will encompass physical events and digital activation across direct relationships and our partner ecosystem. As digital capabilities scale across the region, implementing innovative marketing approaches to improve return on marketing spend will be critical to success.

Brand leadership

Position Adobe as a leader in helping businesses become experience businesses in ANZ. Work with the regional campaign, experience and executive engagement teams, and local communications teams to position Adobe as leading the future of marketing and customer experience. Bring the One Adobe story to market across all marketing touch points and be a change leader across ANZ to drive a unified cross-cloud approach in the country's marketing strategies.

Operational Excellence

Implement and ensure strong adoption of a business management system that allows you to lead a predictable, cohesive, and successful marketing team. This will include regular meetings, consistent reporting, strong controls/budget management, and execution.

Drive Innovation

Introduce new marketing approaches, processes, and optimization techniques to connect with customers and achieve results. You will proactively incorporate changes into your planning and work with the regional team to request and adopt change.

Manage Your Team  

Select talent, develop, cultivate your team and retain critical talent.

What you need to succeed

  • 15+ years experience in Enterprise Marketing, preferably in the technology or software industry (knowledge of Adobe products preferred). 

  • Strong people manager with experience managing virtual team members.   

  • Proven success in developing customer-focused, multi-year marketing strategies, including deployment, measurement, evaluation of return and optimization using innovative approaches.

  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal communication and experience working across matrix organisations (working effectively with regional marketing, sales, operations and external agencies will be keys to success).  

  • A motivated and adaptable individual with exceptional organisational skills

  • Resourcefulness and ability to anticipate issues and work through them, proactive nature

  • Exceptional ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize work under critical deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication & social skills

  • Ability to be flexible to thrive in a very fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
